Platform for dance art

 

​Sara Sandvik Arnestad (b. 2001) was born and raised in Nordfjordeid, a small village on the West coast of Norway, and she is currently based in the Oslo area. During this education she performed in works by Paul Blackman and Christine Gouzelis, Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Yaniv Cohen, Roza Moshtaghi and Zsuzsanna Rózsavölgyi.

 

Sara’s artistic practice is characterized by playful improvisation that employs both intricate, diverse physicalities as well as theatrical elements. She is interested in interdisciplinary and site-specific work. Artistically, she aims to develop her physical skills and acquire more bodily knowledge, while also experimenting with how to integrate her curiosity for humans, also from a philosophical and historical perspective, into her art.
