Pinch Of Salt Choreography created in the winter of 2023
Pinch of Salt is based on the expression "Take it with a pinch of salt." While this phrase usually suggests not taking something too seriously or being skeptical, the choreography explores the opposite of this attitude—dealing with situations or emotions that can’t be brushed off easily.

The piece delves into the tension between acknowledging something serious while still maintaining an element of distance or detachment, much like the expression suggests but with a deeper, more intense interpretation.

Through intricate and sharp movements, the choreography reflects the discomfort and tension of existing in this environment. The dancers' bodies are stretched, pulled, and scraped, echoing the challenges of navigating a world that demands more than simple detachment.

The universe we aim to create in Pinch of Salt is one of vast, empty desert, a harsh and inhospitable landscape filled with salt. The dancers navigate this arid world, symbolizing the struggle and complexity of human experience. The salt represents the weight of burdens, emotional scars, and the painful reality of dealing with situations that cannot be easily dismissed. The desert, in contrast, suggests isolation, desolation, and the rawness of survival.
