The Web Choreography created in the summer of 2024
"The Web" is a choreography that plays on the double meaning of being "caught in a web"—both the literal spiderweb and the metaphorical internet.

The piece delves into the sense of entrapment and overwhelm caused by the constant stream of information, opinions, and narratives we consume online. It serves as a subtle critique of modern society's dependency on digital spaces and the psychological toll it can take.

"The Web" ultimately invites audiences to reflect on the role of digital spaces in their lives. Are we navigating the web, or has the web begun to navigate us?

The movement vocabulary mirrors the duality of the concept. At times, the choreography is sharp, fragmented, and frenetic, reflecting the chaotic overload of information. At other moments, it becomes slow and deliberate, evoking the sticky, inescapable feeling of being trapped in something larger than oneself. Group work emphasizes interconnectedness, showing how individuals can become tangled in a collective "web," while solos explore the personal struggle of trying to break free.
